What it is
A chewy toffee with a milk chocolate centre in a twist wrapper. The chocolate arrives halfway through, which is the whole design.

Where it comes from
Chocolate eclairs of this type have been made in Britain since the mid twentieth century, sold in bags and loose, and they remain one of the most recognisable wrapped sweets in the country. The name borrows from the French pastry, sharing only the idea of a filling.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and sweetened condensed milk boiled to a chew, extruded as a rope around a milk chocolate centre and cut so each piece seals itself.
