For our founder, candy has always been more than a treat. It's been a lifelong passion that has shaped both his personal and professional journey. From spending his school dinner money at the sweet shop (and occasionally getting caught sneaking candy into class), to now running one of the UK’s most exciting candy businesses, his story is built on a genuine love for sweets.

That sweet tooth runs in the family. His mum, even at 72, still prefers candy over food. So, it’s no surprise that his entrepreneurial path has always been sugar-coated.

In 2007, he launched the North East’s very first milkshake bar, long before gourmet shakes became a trend, giving him access to unlimited candy and the chance to turn a passion into a thriving venture. Just two years later, he was among the first to import American candy into the UK, introducing British customers to a whole new world of flavours and setting the pace for what would become a booming market.

But behind the business milestones, he never lost the fun side of loving candy. Whether it’s midnight chocolate raids, “accidentally” eating the kids’ Easter eggs, or that unforgettable day he discovered his nut allergy by eating his wife’s chocolate peanuts, candy has remained central to his everyday life.

Today, through Candy4u, he combines that lifelong enthusiasm with sharp business instincts to create an experience customers can trust and enjoy.
