Terms of Sale
The short version
You offer to buy, we accept when we dispatch. Prices are in pounds, delivery is extra and shown before you pay. Sweets vary a bit from the photos. Check the label for allergens. Faulty, we replace it. Your consumer rights aren't affected.
These terms apply when you buy from candy4u.co.uk. The seller is IPOC Limited, trading as Candy4U, company number 15977097, Unit 8 Wapping Park, Gresley Road, South West Industrial Estate, Peterlee, SR8 2FD. hello@candy4u.co.uk. Subscriptions are covered by the Subscription Terms as well.
1. Your order
When you check out, you're offering to buy. We accept when we send the dispatch email, and that's when the contract is made. If we can't accept, for example the sweet's out of stock or a price was shown wrongly, we'll tell you and refund anything you've paid. You're confirming the details you give us are accurate and that you're 18 or over if you pay with Clearpay, which requires it.
2. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds. Delivery is extra and shown before you pay. We take payment when you order. If a price on the site is obviously wrong, we don't have to sell at that price and we'll offer you the correct one or a refund.
3. Products
Sweets are natural products and can vary a little in size, shape and colour from the photos. Ingredients and allergens are shown on every product page and on the pouch label, and the label is what you should go by. Mixes are packed by weight in 100g steps and the count of individual sweets will vary. Every pouch is sealed and carries a best before date. Store cool and dry, and once opened reseal and eat within a few weeks.
4. Delivery
Order before 2pm Monday to Friday and we dispatch the same working day. Standard delivery is usually 2 to 3 working days from dispatch. Dates are estimates. The goods are yours, and the risk in them, when they're delivered to the address you gave us. If nobody's in, the courier's card or email tells you what happens next. We can't be responsible for a delay caused by a wrong address.
5. Changing your mind
You can cancel before dispatch for a full refund. After delivery, the 14 day cancellation right under the Consumer Contracts Regulations applies to unopened sealed items and merch, and doesn't apply to sweets once they've been sent because they're food. Full details, including how to return and what we refund, are on the Returns and Refunds page.
6. Faulty or wrong goods
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 what you buy has to be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose. If it isn't, tell us with a photo and we'll replace it or refund you, including delivery. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
7. Allergens
We pack in a warehouse that handles nuts, gluten, dairy, soya, sesame and other allergens. Dietary filters and badges are there to help, and we take them seriously, but we can't guarantee any product is free from any allergen. Please check the label before eating.
8. Liability
We're responsible for loss you suffer that's a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or not using reasonable care. We're not responsible for loss that wasn't foreseeable, or for business losses. Nothing limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law says we can't limit.
9. Events outside our control
If something outside our control, like a courier strike or severe weather, delays your order, we'll tell you and do what we can. If it goes on for more than 30 days you can cancel and we'll refund you.
10. Other things
These terms are between you and us and nobody else can enforce them. If any part is found invalid the rest still applies. We can update these terms, and the version on the site when you order is the one that applies. The law of England and Wales governs them and its courts have jurisdiction, and if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland you can bring a claim there too.
