What it is
A small, chewy toffee drop completely covered in milk chocolate. The chocolate melts first, then the toffee chews.

Where it comes from
Coating toffee in chocolate is a British confectionery classic, and the combination was made industrially possible once enrobing machines arrived in the early twentieth century. It turns a cheap sweet into something that feels like a treat, which is why it has always sold well at Christmas.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar, sweetened condensed milk and butter boiled to a chewy toffee, cut, then coated in milk chocolate with at least thirty three percent cocoa solids.
