Where it comes from
Sour flavours moved from the gummy category into almost everything else through the 2010s, including fudge, chocolate and even ice cream. It works in fudge because fudge is one of the sweetest things in a sweet shop and needs something to push against.
What it's made of
A fudge made on a soya drink base with sugar, glucose and hydrogenated palm kernel oil, flavoured with lemon. No milk in the recipe.
