Where it comes from
Cadbury's Creme Egg was launched in its current form in 1971 and is one of the most recognisable seasonal products in Britain, with the arrival of the eggs on shelves in January treated as an event in itself. The flavour has spread into every category, including fudge.
What it's made of
A fudge made on a soya drink base with chocolate flavouring, wrapped around a nougat of icing sugar, cornflour, gelatine and palm kernel oil. Not suitable for vegetarians.
