The one flaw with the famous fondant egg is that it vanishes every April. This doesn't. Fondant Egg Fudge is a rich chocolate flavoured fudge wrapped around a soft, sweet fondant nougat: chocolate flavour shell and gooey centre in one bite, no foil, no sticky fingers.
The Fudge Factory make the fudge on their soya base with no milk, but the fondant nougat is set with gelatine, so it isn't for vegetarians. The centre is pale and very sweet, like the original.
It's the one for an Easter box with Chocolate Fudge and Vanilla Fudge, or with Triple Chocolate Brownie Fudge for someone who takes chocolate seriously.
Made on a soya base with no milk in the recipe, but the nougat contains gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians. Contains soya. May contain traces of nuts and peanuts. Contains the colours E110 and E102, which may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.
