What it is
A pink fudge with a cookie dough and raspberry flavour, a white chocolate flavour top and rainbow sugar strands. Sweet, colourful and aimed squarely at children.

Where it comes from
Birthday cake flavour arrived from America in the 2010s and spread rapidly through every category. It is built on vanilla, butter and a faint sourness copied from buttermilk, plus the visual cue of sprinkles, which do most of the work.

A fudge made on a soya drink base with sugar, glucose and hydrogenated palm kernel oil, flavoured with cookie dough and raspberry, topped with a white chocolate flavour coating that contains milk and finished with sugar strands.
