What it is
A chewy apple flavoured sweet with a powdery sugar coating. Firm at first, then soft, and it sticks to your teeth in the way a bon bon should.
Taste

Where it comes from
Bon bons are a British sweet shop staple of the twentieth century, made in a small set of flavours that have barely changed. The name comes from the French for good, doubled, though in Britain it settled on this one specific chewy dusted sweet rather than meaning any small sweet.
What it's made of
Sugar, glucose syrup and fully hydrogenated coconut fat worked into a chew, flavoured with apple, then tumbled in a fine powdered sugar coating.
