Apple Bon Bons are the underrated bonbon. Softer and gentler than the sour apple sweets you might expect, with a sweet green apple flavour that has just a little tang at the end, wrapped around the same dense, stretchy chew and fine sugar coat as every other bonbon in the jar. Pale green, and the dust gets everywhere.
Made by Kingsway in their veggie bonbon range. The green comes from curcumin and chlorophyllins, which are the plant based route to that colour, so it's a soft sage green rather than a bright lime.
They work well in a green bag with Watermelon Bon Bons, or in a full bonbon jar with Strawberry Bon Bons and Lemon Bon Bons for something that looks like a spring pastel display.
Made without gelatine, so suitable for vegetarians. May contain traces of milk. Contains sorbitol, so excessive consumption may have a laxative effect.
