Where it comes from
Honeycomb toffee is known across the world under a dozen names, cinder toffee in the north of England, hokey pokey in New Zealand, sponge toffee in Canada. The aerated texture comes from adding bicarbonate of soda to hot sugar, and coating it in chocolate is the British version of the idea.
What it's made of
Crunchy toffee, biscuit and cereal pieces coated in milk chocolate with a minimum of 25% cocoa solids. The recipe includes wheat, milk, egg, soya and tree nuts.
