Where it comes from
Salt water taffy is an American seaside sweet, first sold on the boardwalk at Atlantic City in the 1880s. Taffy Town has made it in Salt Lake City, Utah since 1917, and bubblegum is one of the flavours it added as the range grew past the old fruit and peppermint standards.
What it's made of
Corn syrup, sugar and coconut oil with sea salt, egg whites and evaporated milk, whipped until airy, with flavouring and the colour E129.
