Where it comes from
Sweden has one of the strongest pick and mix cultures in the world, where lördagsgodis, Saturday sweets, is a national habit dating from a 1950s public health campaign that encouraged children to eat sweets only once a week. Swedish sweets tend to be less sweet and more chewy than British ones, and chocolate flavoured chews are a category of their own there.
What it's made of
Sugar, glucose syrup, vegetable fat, pork gelatine and cocoa powder worked into a firm chew and moulded as bears.
