Swedish Bjornar

Swedish Bjornar are not the bears you're used to. Björnar is Swedish for bears, and under a thin, smooth chocolate flavour shell there's a soft, slightly foamy gummy bear, so the bite goes coating, give, chew. The chocolate is gentle and cocoa led rather than rich, and it melts away quickly to leave the sweet, mild gummy behind.

They're made by Dals, the Swedish maker behind a good chunk of the Scandi pick n mix wall. The coating uses cocoa powder and vegetable fat rather than solid chocolate, which is why it's soft and matte rather than glossy and snappy.

They're a good calm sweet to sit between louder Swedish things. Put them with Swedish Chocolate Banana for a coated pair, Scandi Cherry Fish for something firm and fruity, and Bubs Pomegranate for a bit of colour.

Contains pork gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians. May contain traces of milk.

Express delivery is £5.99 for next working day delivery when you order before 2pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 2pm or at weekends are dispatched the next working day. The Highlands and islands can take a little longer.

Sealed sweets can be returned unopened within 14 days.
