Where it comes from
The pint pot is a piece of British humour in confectionery, moulded to look like a pint of bitter with a cream head. It belongs alongside the fried egg and the milk bottle in the tradition of British sweets that copy everyday objects rather than fruit.
What it's made of
A two colour gum deposit, dark for the beer and cream for the head, set with pork and beef gelatine, coloured with plain caramel.
