Where it comes from
Gummy worms and snakes were introduced by Trolli in Germany in 1981, designed to be slightly revolting on the correct assumption that children would love them. Length is the selling point, a snake feels like more sweet than it is.
What it's made of
Sugar, glucose syrup and water with pork gelatine, malic, lactic and citric acid, sodium malates, fruit and vegetable concentrates from black carrot, spirulina, safflower and grape.
