What it is
A blue jelly baby with a blueberry or blue raspberry flavour, soft with a dusted finish. The colour is the selling point.

Where it comes from
Blue has always been the rarest colour in confectionery because so few foods are naturally blue, and until synthetic blue dyes became widely used, a blue sweet was a novelty in itself. A blue jelly baby takes the most familiar British shape and gives it the least familiar colour.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and corn starch set with acids and flavouring, coloured with brilliant blue, set in starch moulds and dusted.
