Where it comes from
The twin cherry is one of the most copied gummy shapes in Europe, made by almost every manufacturer, because two joined shapes look like more sweet than one and the stalk gives it character. The fizzy version came with the sour boom of the 1990s.
What it's made of
A two colour gum deposit set with maize starch rather than gelatine, dried, then tumbled in sugar with citric and malic acids. Coloured with black carrot, spirulina and curcumin.
