A long two colour gummy snake rolled in fizzy sour sugar. The coating hits first, the chew lasts, and it takes several bites to finish one.
Taste

Where it comes from
The fizzy snake is the sour cousin of the jelly snake, arriving as the sour category grew in the 1990s. Length is the selling point, a snake feels like more sweet than it is, which is why they are so popular in children's pick and mix.
What it's made of
A two colour gum deposited in a long mould, set with pork gelatine, dried and then tumbled in sugar carrying malic, lactic and citric acids. Coloured with black carrot, spirulina, safflower, grape, curcumin and paprika.
