Why they are called West Indian Limes is anyone's guess, and nobody has ever minded. What matters is the flavour: a hard, bright green boiled sweet with a proper sharp lime hit, more sour than a Chocolate Lime shell and with nothing in the middle to soften it. The citric acid does the work, and your cheeks feel it.
They are one of the great palate cleansers of the sweet jar. After something rich or minty, a West Indian Lime resets everything, which is why they always vanish from a mixed bag first.
Pair them with Chocolate Limes for the full lime experience, with Sherbet Lemons for a citrus bag, or with Pear Drops for the classic sweet shop trio.
