Sweet Peanuts

Sweet Peanuts contain no peanuts, which has confused people for about eighty years. They are hard boiled sweets shaped and coloured like a peanut in its shell, pale gold and ridged, with a sweet, toasty flavour and a pinch of salt that makes them taste more like the real thing than they have any right to.

They are a proper old timer of the sweet shop, once sold from a jar by the quarter, and the recipe is still sugar, glucose syrup, flavourings and a little salt. The colour comes from curcumin, paprika and caramel, which give them that toasted look.

They fit a retro bag next to Aniseed Balls, Rosy Apples and Pear Drops, and they are a good one to hand round at a party just to watch people check for the nut. A crunchy, cheerful sweet for a long drive.

Made with vegan ingredients and no gelatine. Contains no nuts.

Express delivery is £5.99 for next working day delivery when you order before 2pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 2pm or at weekends are dispatched the next working day. The Highlands and islands can take a little longer.

Sealed sweets can be returned unopened within 14 days.
