Blackcurrant Millions are the Millions flavour for grown ups. Tiny purple chews, smaller than a pea, with a rich, slightly sharp blackcurrant flavour that tastes like the cordial rather than the boiled sweet. You pour them in by the dozen and they all go at once, soft and quick.
There's blackcurrant juice from concentrate in the recipe, and the purple comes from black carrot and hibiscus rather than any artificial colour, which is why the shade is a deep plum rather than a violent violet. Millions have been made in Scotland for decades and this is one of the better flavours.
They go with Vimto Millions for a purple bag, or with Raspberry Millions and Strawberry Millions for a red and purple Millions mix. Also very good sprinkled on ice cream.
