Every bakery has one in the window, and it's always the one you can't eat tidily. Vanilla Slice Fudge solves that. The custard flavoured fudge stands in for the filling, a strip of soft nougat plays the pastry, and a coating of white chocolate with dark feathered through it does the icing on top.
It's a Fudge Factory creation and one of their more elaborate ones. The fudge is made on their soya base, but the nougat uses gelatine and the white chocolate coating contains milk, so this one isn't for vegetarians.
Put it in a box with Vanilla Fudge, Clotted Cream Fudge and Strawberry & Cream Fudge and you've got afternoon tea without the crockery.
