Pina Colada Slices

If you like pina coladas, you'll want a bag of these. Pina Colada Slices are soft, chewy wedges, yellow on one side and white on the other like a slice of the real thing, with a sweet pineapple and coconut flavour and a fizzy sugar coat that keeps it from being sickly.

They're made by Vidal, the Spanish gummy specialists, and the recipe uses pectin alongside the gelatine, which is why the chew is softer and more jelly like than a standard British gummy. The flavour comes from flavourings rather than real fruit, so it's the cocktail rather than the fruit bowl.

Bag them with Watermelon Slices and Peach Rings for a fruit stall in a pouch, or Funky Fruits if you want a mixed bag with a tropical lean. Good for a winter evening when you're pretending you're somewhere sunny.
