Liquorice people and toffee people don't usually overlap, and this is the sweet that brings them together. Liquorice Toffee is a chewy, dense toffee made on condensed milk, but coloured near black and flavoured with black treacle, liquorice extract and a drop of aniseed oil. The first chew is toffee, the finish is liquorice, and the two meet somewhere in the middle.
It's made by Walker's Nonsuch, who have been making toffee since 1894. The black comes from vegetable carbon rather than anything synthetic, and the liquorice is the real extract, not just a flavouring.
Pair it with Liquorice Wheels and Black Jacks for a black bag that will clear a room, or put it next to Creamy Toffee so the toffee lover can compare.
Made without gelatine, suitable for vegetarians. Contains milk and soya. May contain traces of gluten and tree nuts.
