Floral Gums divide a room, and that's the fun of them. Tiny, firm, almost hard gums in faded pastel shades, with a perfumed rose flavour that tastes like an old fashioned garden and a lemon one that cuts through it. You suck them rather than chew them, at least at first, and they last for ages.
They're made by Squirrel, one of the old names in British sweets, and they still come in the same odd, slightly Victorian flavours they always have. The colours are mostly from plants, anthocyanin, paprika, curcumin and spirulina, which is why they look dusty rather than neon.
They belong in a proper traditional jar with Turkish Delight, Wine Gums and Pear Drops. Buy them for someone over sixty and watch their face.
Contains beef gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians.
