Double Lollies are the flat, round, pressed candy lollies from Swizzels where each disc is split into two halves in different colours and fruit flavours, so you get a tangy fruit combination in every lick. The texture is the chalky, slowly dissolving kind, more like a giant Love Heart than a boiled sweet, which means they last well without being hard on the teeth.
Swizzels make them with dextrose rather than boiled sugar, which is what gives that soft crumbly bite, and the colours are plant derived: anthocyanin, chlorophyllin, curcumin, lutein and paprika. There's no gelatine, milk or egg in them.
They're a party bag staple and a favourite on a long car journey. Pair them with Mixed Fruit Lollies and Love Heart Rolls for a Swizzels retro set, or with Candy Necklaces for edible everything.
