Bubblegum Bon Bons are bubblegum flavour without the gum. That's the whole pitch, and it's a good one. A soft, dense chewy bonbon in pale pink, rolled in fine sugar dust, with the sweet, slightly floral bubblegum taste you remember from the machine outside the corner shop. It melts down slowly and leaves nothing to spit out.
Made by Kingsway, who make the veggie bonbons that most British sweet shops rely on. The pink comes from black carrot rather than a synthetic red, and the chew has that classic bonbon give: soft at first, then a proper stretch.
They're a core member of the bonbon jar alongside Blue Raspberry Bon Bons, Strawberry Bon Bons and Cherry Bon Bons, and they do well in a pink party bag or a pastel jar for a baby shower.
