Four ingredients, no messing. Black Bullets are sugar, glucose, menthol crystals and flavouring, boiled hard and rolled into glossy black balls with a peppermint hit that clears your head. Not a gentle mint. The menthol gets right up into your nose and stays there.
They have been made the same way for well over a century, and there is a whole generation that swears by them for a stuffy nose on a cold morning. Whether that is true or not, they taste like it should be.
Put them with Everton Mints and Humbugs for a mint bag in three strengths, or with Winter Mixture for the sweet tin that lives in the car all winter. One at a time is plenty.
