What it is
A large hard ball in tropical flavours that changes colour and taste as you get through it, with a gum centre.
Taste

Where it comes from
Layered panning allows a sweet to change flavour as it dissolves, which is a genuine confectionery trick rather than a marketing one. Tropical flavours became widely available in Britain through the 1990s as imported fruit and flavourings became cheaper.
What it's made of
A gum base centre panned with layers of flavoured sugar syrup, coloured with brilliant blue, chlorophyll, carotenes and titanium dioxide, polished with carnauba wax and shellac.
