What it is

Where it comes from
Twisted gummies are made by depositing into a spiral mould, a shape that became possible once moulding got precise enough to hold a curve without trapping air. Raspberry is one of the dominant European gummy flavours, particularly in Germany and Scandinavia.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and beef gelatine with maize starch, citric acid and sodium citrate, moulded as twists, coloured with brilliant blue and glazed with carnauba wax.
