What it is
Small drops of soft, chewy foam covered in chocolate, with a snap on the outside and a slow, springy chew inside.
Taste
Where it comes from
Polly was launched in Sweden in 1965 and is now made by Cloetta at its factory in Ljungsbro. The foam drops are tumbled in chocolate until each one has an even shell. In the original bag the light pieces have arrack and butterscotch flavoured centres and the dark pieces vanilla.
What it's made of
Sugar, vegetable fats (palm, shea) and invert sugar syrup with glucose syrup, cocoa mass, skimmed milk powder, whey powder (milk), gelatine, emulsifiers (soya lecithin, E476), glazing agents (gum arabic, shellac), whey protein (milk), flavourings (including vanillin), thickener (pectin), acid (citric acid), vegetable oils (coconut, rapeseed) and whole milk powder.
