Where it comes from
The heart is one of the highest volume sweet shapes made anywhere, driven by Valentine's, weddings and general gifting. The jelly version sits alongside the chalky Love Hearts from Swizzels, which are a different product entirely despite the shared name.
What it's made of
Sugar, glucose syrup and maize starch with citric acid, sunflower oil and anthocyanin colour, moulded as hearts and glazed with gum arabic and carnauba wax.
