What it is
A jelly bean flavoured with root beer, sweet, spiced and slightly medicinal. Instantly American, and completely unlike anything in a British sweet jar.
Taste

Where it comes from
Root beer is an American drink of the nineteenth century, made from sassafras root and a mixture of spices, and sold originally as a health tonic before it became a soda. The flavour is so tied to America that most British people cannot place it, which is why it divides opinion so sharply.
What it's made of
A starch jelly centre flavoured with a root beer blend of wintergreen, sassafras style notes and vanilla, panned with sugar and polished.
