What it is
A red jelly bean with a strong cinnamon flavour that builds into a genuine warmth. More of a challenge than a treat for some people.
Taste

Where it comes from
Cinnamon sweets are an American tradition with no real British equivalent, sold as red hots and fireballs since the nineteenth century. The heat comes from cinnamon bark oil, which is much stronger than the ground spice used in baking.
What it's made of
A starch jelly centre flavoured with cinnamon oil, panned with sugar, coloured red and polished.
