What it is
Gummy sea creatures freeze dried into light crunchy pieces, blue and white, that shatter and dissolve.
Taste
Where it comes from
Freeze drying gummies rather than chews produces a very different result, since the higher gelatine content makes them foam more dramatically. The category emerged in the 2020s and the more spectacular the transformation, the better the sweet sells.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and gelatine with sorbitol and citric acid, frozen and dried under vacuum so the sweet expands into a brittle foam.
