What it is
A peach shaped gummy with a jelly filling, coated in sour sugar in most versions.
Taste
Where it comes from
The filled gummy format became widespread across Europe in the 1990s once co extrusion was standard. Turkish and Spanish manufacturers dominate the category and supply much of the British pick and mix trade.
What it's made of
Glucose syrup, sugar and water with acidulants and a pectin gelling agent, co extruded with a filling and stabilised.
