Some sweets don't need reinventing, and Toffee Bon Bons are one of them. A golden, sugar dusted ball with a soft, dense chew and a rich, buttery toffee flavour that comes from actual sweetened condensed milk in the recipe. It's the bonbon that tastes like a sweet shop smelled.
Made by Kingsway in their veggie range. The chew is a little firmer than the fruit bonbons and the flavour is deeper, with a touch of salt in the mix to stop it being cloying. They also seem to age well in a jar, which almost nobody tests.
They're the natural partner for Creamy Toffee in a caramel coloured bag, and they sit well in a full bonbon jar with Strawberry Bon Bons and Lemon Bon Bons for a bit of contrast.
Made without gelatine, so suitable for vegetarians. Contains milk.
