Chocolate and banana is a pudding combination, and Dals have made it a sweet. Swedish Chocolate Banana is a small oval of soft, squidgy banana foam, the sweet foam banana flavour rather than fresh fruit, sealed in a thin, smooth chocolate flavour shell that melts as soon as it's in your mouth.
Dals are one of the big Swedish pick n mix makers and this is one of their best known sweets. The coating is made with cocoa powder and vegetable fat rather than a solid chocolate, so it's soft and a little waxy rather than snappy, which is what you want against foam.
It belongs in a banana run with Banana Drage and Bubs Banana and Caramel, or with Swedish Bjornar for a pair of coated Scandi sweets. Good in a gift bag for someone who thinks they've tried everything.
