A Sherbet Lemon with no sugar in it is still a Sherbet Lemon, and Sugar Free Sherbet Lemons prove it. The shell is hard, yellow and sharply lemony, the centre still fizzes when you get there, and isomalt with a touch of sucralose does the sweetening convincingly.
They are the sensible option for anyone watching their sugar, or the relative who never gets a look in at Christmas. The fizz comes from citric acid and bicarbonate, exactly as in the full sugar version.
They pair with Humbugs (Sugar Free) and Mintoes Sugar Free for a sugar free selection, or with Barley Sugar for a golden mix. A few at a time is the sensible way.
