The recipe has strawberry juice from concentrate in it, and the red comes from elderberry and black carrot rather than any artificial colour, so the shade is a deep strawberry red rather than a pillar box one. Millions have been made in Scotland for decades and this is the flavour that started it.
They belong in a Millions mix with Raspberry Millions and Watermelon Millions, or with Blackcurrant Millions for a bag that goes from sweet to sharp. Also very good on top of a cupcake.
