A volcano is a good shape for a sour sweet, because the top is where the fizz is. Sour Volcanoes are small, cone shaped jellies with a soft, slightly firm chew and a fizzy sour sugar that sits heaviest on the peak. Bite the top first for the sharpest hit, then the fruit chew softens it.
The colours are mostly fruit and vegetable concentrates, radish, pumpkin, tomato, blackcurrant and carrot, with a little curcumin and one blue, a shorter synthetic list than most novelty sweets manage. The jelly has pectin in it as well as gelatine, which is why the bite is cleaner than a plain gummy.
Bag them with Fizzy Chips and Sour Hoops for a full sour line up, or add Fizzy Worms if the bag is for kids and wants a bit of wriggle.
