Fruit Salad chews are the sweet you bought four for a penny, or at least you remember it that way. A small square chew, soft and slightly sticky, with that unmistakable sharp pineapple and raspberry flavour that starts tangy and finishes sweet. They stick to your teeth a little. They're supposed to.
Barratt make them, as they have for decades, and the recipe has pineapple and apple juice concentrates in it with the colours coming from anthocyanins and paprika extract. There's no gelatine, the chew comes from hydrolysed pea protein and palm oil instead. Not to be confused with the Lion Fruit Salads gums, which are a different sweet with the same flavour.
Pair them with Black Jacks, obviously, and with Mini Fruit Salad and Fruit Salads for a three way argument about which is best.
Made without gelatine, so suitable for vegetarians. Not suitable for children under 36 months.
Choking Warning: Not suitable for children under 36 months.
