Sour Hoops

Sour Hoops are the rings you eat off your fingers. Firm, springy gummy hoops in red, yellow, green and blue, each rolled in a coarse sour sugar that hits fast and lingers. The chew is firmer than most fizzy sweets, so they last, and the fruit underneath is sweet enough to balance the sour.

These come from Kingsway and they're deliberately bright: the colours are the classic sweet shop artificial ones rather than plant extracts. The sourness is citric and malic acid, the same pair that puts the edge on a sour lemon.

They're the backbone of a rainbow mix. Sit them next to Rainbow Rings for a softer take on the shape, then add Fizzy Snakes and Sour Watermelon Bears for a bag that's all sharp edges.

Contains beef gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians. Contains the colours E102, E110 and E129, which may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.

Express delivery is £5.99 for next working day delivery when you order before 2pm Monday to Friday. Orders placed after 2pm or at weekends are dispatched the next working day. The Highlands and islands can take a little longer.

Sealed sweets can be returned unopened within 14 days.
