If you know, you know. Sarsaparilla Tablets are hard boiled sweets with the old fashioned root beer flavour, sweet and slightly earthy with a hint of something like liquorice, that either takes you straight back to a wooden counter or leaves you baffled. There is no middle ground with sarsaparilla.
They come from Stockley's, who still boil them the traditional way. Sarsaparilla was a soft drink long before it was a sweet, and the flavour has changed very little, which is exactly what the people who buy these want.
Pair them with Army and Navy and Winter Mixture for a bag of the strong old flavours, or with Aniseed Twists for the person who likes their sweets with a bit of history. A sweet for people who miss the temperance bar.
Made without gelatine, suitable for vegetarians. Contains the colour E122, which may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.
Warning: E122 may have an adverse effect on activity and attention in children.
