Rhubarb and custard is the flavour pairing that made a generation of British kids like rhubarb. One half is pink and sharp, the other yellow and mellow, and the trick is that neither is much use without the other. Together they taste like a school pudding done properly.
Rhubarb and Custards (Boiled) is the Haribo version, and it is a firmer, chewier sweet than the glass hard boiled you might remember, so it gives a little on the bite and lasts without any risk to your fillings. The colours come from plant concentrates like safflower, blackcurrant and sweet potato rather than anything artificial.
Sit them next to Pear Drops and Sherbet Lemons for a retro fruit bag, or pair them with Rhubarb and Custard Pips for a tiny and a large version of the same idea. Made for the glovebox.
