Raspberry Whips are the retro mallow that never got the fuss it deserved. Each one is a long, ridged rope of blue marshmallow, lighter and airier than a regular mallow, with a sweet, slightly sharp raspberry flavour. The bite is soft all the way through, almost meringue like, and they melt rather than chew.
They're made by Fini, the Spanish sweet maker behind half the jelly and mallow in a modern pick n mix. The whip shape is piped rather than moulded, which is why each one has those ridges and why no two are quite the same length.
They belong in a soft bag with Strawberry Whips and Marshmallow Stars, or in a retro bag next to Milk Bottles.
Contains pork gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians. Contains sorbitol, so excessive consumption may have a laxative effect. May contain traces of milk.
