Mushroom

The underrated one in the foam tub. Mushrooms are small, two tone foam sweets with a pink cap and a white stalk, and they have a gentle strawberry flavour that's softer and less sugary than a foam banana or shrimp. The texture is light and slightly bouncy, and they melt down to almost nothing.

Kingsway make them, and the pink is black carrot concentrate rather than a synthetic colour. There's a very light carnauba wax glaze so they don't stick to each other, and the shape has stayed the same since they first appeared in pick n mix tubs, which is longer than anyone can remember.

They make sense in a traditional foam mix with Fried Eggs, Milk Bottles and Foam Banana, and they're a nice, soft choice in a pink party bag.

Contains pork gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians.
