Midget Gems are the little ones you can't stop eating. Small, firm, glossy gums in red, orange, yellow, green and black, with a chew that starts hard and slowly gives, and a clean fruit flavour in every colour except the black one, which is liquorice, and which you either fish out or hoard.
These are the Lion ones, made in the same firm style as their Fruit Salads, and the recipe uses real liquorice extract for the black gems and plant colours like safflower, spirulina and paprika for the rest. Firmer than most, which is the point.
They belong next to Wine Gums and Football Gums in a bag of proper gums, and they get on with Jelly Babies if you want to soften the mix a bit.
Contains beef gelatine, so not suitable for vegetarians. Not suitable for children under 36 months.
