Liquorice Wheels are the grown up end of the pick n mix counter. A long strand of firm, glossy black liquorice wound into a tight coil, with a bold aniseed flavour and a slow, satisfying chew that doesn't rush you. Unroll it inch by inch or bite the whole coil, either way it lasts.
Made by Damel, who have been turning out liquorice in Spain for generations, these use real liquorice extract and molasses, which is where the depth and the dark colour come from. They're firmer than a soft liquorice and a lot more grown up than a Black Jack.
They go with Rotella if you want to compare two wheels side by side, with Black Jacks for an aniseed bag, or with Liquorice Comfits for the full old school jar.
Made without gelatine, so suitable for vegetarians. Contains wheat (gluten). May contain traces of soya and mustard.
